Hiking on the Blue Wash Trail and Joe's Farm Grill!

Salutations! I hope you enjoy reading about this section of my trip! 😊

Day 5: On Saturday Morning we got ready to go hiking. We were finally all together as a family, and we wanted to have some fun! So we put on our sunscreen, gathered up our shoes, and set off for Scottsdale, Arizona! After about a 45 minute drive listening to audio books, pointing out expensive cars, and chatting about what our day would look like we finally arrived near a variety of trails. We had heard that at one of them led to a waterfall and we decided to go onto that one. The hike to the waterfall was steady and hot. It took about a mile and a half until we got arrived at the waterfall. We followed a little stream that led us there. There were so many cool rock formations and the water was cold and refreshing. We climbed on the rocks and played in the water for a while until something caught our eyes. All of the sudden 4 horses and there owners pulled up into the oasis followed by 4 off leash border collies. I was in awe. I LOVE horses. The dogs were so friendly and they came up to me and let me pet them. They were so cute. One particular one shook its coat and I got water all over me. It was definitely worth it though. Eventually one of the women that had brought the horses asked if I would like to touch them. OF COURSE I SAID YES! This would be my first time ever interacting with horse. They were so gentle and sweet! One of the horse's was 30 years old! It was hard to leave the waterfall after they arrived. Finally, after about an hour we decided we were starting to get hungry. We said farewell to everyone at the desert oasis and set ourselves back onto the trail. We decided that tonight we would revisit our favorite restaurant in Gilbert and go to Joe's Farm Grill. This restaurant has always been so dear to us, and we pledged when we left Arizona, that when we returned we would go back to Joes. There are so many things about Joe's that appeals to us. First of all, they grow there food fresh in a garden they keep at the grill. Second, you get free food on your birthday. The food and Joe's farm grill is incredible! So incredible that the food was even featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive ins, and Dives! That evening we celebrated our return to Arizona with burgers and fries! The food was awesome, and we may or may not have asked the waitress for too many sauces. After dinner we went to Costco to get ice cream sundaes from the food court. Saturday had been a good day. 😁😎
