Last day of the trip! Day 12!

Image
Hey guys! This is the last post I am going to do on my trip! I hope you enjoy :) Day 12: On Saturday morning we woke up and had pancakes with some of my cousins and grandparents. After eating breakfast we decided we needed to get ready to go to my Grandma ad Grandpa Wheeler's house. We drove about 15 minutes and arrived with a warm embrace. We told them all about our adventures and relaxed until my Great-Grandma Janice arrived with Papa Murphey's pizza for lunch! It was so delicious! My Aunt Lori and her family arrived not long after followed by my Smith Cousins. It was so great to see everyone! After we had settled we got ready to do another easter egg hunt! It was so fun to search for eggs, some hidden in the wildest places. My favorite was the one in my grandmas car's exhaust pipe! It was soooooooo hard to get out. After the hunt we ate some enchiladas for dinner and relaxed the rest of the night listening to hilarious music and just having fun. There was no better way ...

Day 11! Hanging out with the Savage Cousins :)

Day 11: On Friday morning we got up early and ate breakfast in the hotel. My mom's family was planning on getting together that evening for an Easter Egg Hunt in Kaysville, Utah. We decided that since we weren't going to the other National Parks we would join them. So we headed to one of my cousin's houses to spend the afternoon. Also, my aunt's dog is my dogs aunt. Funny right?! Anyways, we arrived in Utah at around 12:00pm and surprised our cousins! It was so fun tp see them, and eventually my grandparents and lots of other cousins joined us. We rode four-wheelers in there awesome backyard, played ROBLOX, played board games, and I especially LOVED playing with their Oculus. If you don't know what that is, it is a Virtual Reality simulation, video game,  toy thing. Idk really what it is, but you put it over your eyes and you use the hand controllers you get put into virtual reality. :0 Anyways we played with cousins until around 4:00 and then we went to a park to ...

Visiting Grandma Workman in Lehi, Utah!

Image
Day 10: On Thursday we decided that it was the perfect time and opportunity to visit my Great-Grandma Workman! I love her so much and I was so excited to see her! We ate another quick but adequate breakfast at the hotel and then hopped into the car ready for another scenic drive. We left the hotel at around 10:00am and we started our route to Lehi, Utah! At around 4pm we decided that we ought to redeem ourselves of Pizza Pie Café and so before we stopped at her house we would already be fed. The food was delicious and the crowd was small. I did drop a cinnamon stick on my shoes but it was overall a good experience! After dinner we headed to see Grandma. We were invited in with a warm welcome from another family member Mandy who was taking care and living with her. They were so sweet and gave us cookies. We chatted for a couple of hours about family history, memories, and just life in general. I was named after her and her mother Lola and I feel so lucky to hav...

A Day in Zion! Day 9!

Image
Day 9: On Wednesday morning we woke up early in our hotel refreshed and ready to hike. We ate hurried and ate breakfast and got into the car ready for an adventure in Zion's National Park. Our hotel was about a 30 minute drive to the national ark and we were so excited. We were able to witness another incredible sunrise as we drove and the scenery was gorgeous. I couldn't believe my eyes. Another plus was the fact that we were able to get into the park free of cost because of my brother's national park pass. People from all over the country were huddled into this area of natural wonder. In total we counted 26 different license plates😲We even saw HAWAII! Here is the full list :) *Arizona  *Arkansas *California *Colorado  *Florida *Georgia *Hawaii *Idaho *Kansas *Kentucky *Massachusetts *Michigan *Minnesota *Montana *Nebraska *Nevada *New Mexico *New York *Oregon  *Texas *Utah *Washington *Wisconsin *Wyoming As you can see, we saw so many different license plates within 2 ...

Goodbye AZ! Crazy Sand Storms!

Day 8: On Tuesday morning March 10, we had to leave .our Airbnb in Arizona. It was bittersweet, but I knew that it wouldn't be 5 years until I returned to my beloved hometown Gilbert. We got in the car headed towards Herekin near Zion's National Park. On our way home to Idaho we wanted to go to Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon as well, but the weather was not in our favor. On our way to Zion we stopped at this really cool canyon in Page ,Arizona called Horseshoe Bend that overlooks Glen's Canyon. The hike was about a mile and the canyon and red rock was beautiful. Towards the begging of that endeavor we would get small gusts of wind, which started to grow more severe.  All of the sudden the most intense sandy windy weather I have EVER encountered in my life started literally pulling me towards the edge of the canyon!😱😱 I like couldn't stop. My mom had been closing her eyes and if she hadn't opened them I surely would have gone off the edge. I started crying and s...
